The Blind Servant —
Most people still don’t know that Jesus was blind. How could the only man in history who opened¹ the eyes of one born blind be himself blind? Hundreds of years before the first rays of light dawned over the Virgin and her newborn son in the manger, the venerable prophet Isaiah foretold that the Messiah (Christ), the Servant of the Lord, would be blind. He wrote ~ “Who [is] blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger [that] I sent? who [is] blind as [he that is] perfect, and blind as the Lord’s servant?” (Isaiah 42.19). As bewildering as it sounds to some, Bible scholars agree the blind servant, according to scripture, is none other than Jesus Christ Himself…
